Today sees the release of Alesha Dixon’s charity single, People Need Love with proceeds coming to the Family Holiday Association. It has been brokered through our friends at TUI. The video was filmed in Lapland last weekend and features some of the children from the Yorkshire families who went on the TUI organised Lapland Trip.
Forty families were given the chance of a lifetime by TUI to enjoy a day trip to inside the Arctic Circle and visit Kittila in the north of Finland. There the children got to feed reindeer, get pulled by huskies, explore the ice hotel and meet Father Christmas at the Snow Village. And everyone was delighted to discover that Alesha Dixon and her crew were coming with them.
Alesha stayed on for a couple of days to complete the filming of her music video. And this morning the video has gone live on the Thomson #LoveLapland hub http://www.thomson.co.uk/love-lapland/ and Thomson’s YouTube channel and will be supported with a Lapland takeover on Thomson’s social media channels today and over the weekend. The video will also feature on the home page of the Thomson website and Alesha will be heavily promoting it across her own social channels. As will we.
Images from the shoot have been distributed far and wide by the TUI press team to a broad cross section of media and we have already started to see coverage on the Mirror and Daily Mail online with more expected today, over the weekend and next week. Alesha will also perform the track on ITV’s Loose Women next week.
Could I ask please that you use any and all channels available to you to promote the single. It would be great to get it to chart as high as possible which will drive further exposure, more income etc..
You can download the track from iTunes – People Need Love (Ash Howes Remix). https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/people-need-love-ash-howes/id1065923608
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Alesha and everyone at TUI for their help and generosity. It is shaping up to be a very Merry Christmas!
